Time

Dear readers,

“There is a time for everything.” Ecc. 3:1

039

It is believed that King Solomon probably wrote that.  He was a man, who when asked by God what he desired, answered “Wisdom.”

“That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

8 Solomon answered God, “You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place. 9 Now, Lord God, let your promise to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth. 10 Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?” 2 Chronicles 1:7 – 10

So, I am choosing to take King Solomon’s words as wise and will rest on the statement that there IS a time for everything.

My last writing was posted last May.  Life became overwhelmingly busy and I had to take a break from blogging and sharing with you the HOPE I have experienced through my trials.

The Lord has opened up the doors of opportunity at this time(!), for me to say, “I am back!” and look forward to sharing through my writing again.   I pray that I will have wisdom in knowing just what to write to be able to encourage you.

This is a “first run” posting – as part of the reason I was “on break” was due to domain locking and other tech difficulties.  So if you are willing – someone – please let me know if this posting came through okay….?

Blogging, I begin!

After being home with children for the last 24 years and home educating them for the last 18 years, I experienced for the first time, the “first day of school” with no one home for me to watch over.  All my dependent children are now in some form of public education, grade 5 up through the 2nd year of college. Change.  There is time for that too!

Reading Psalm 103 was my focus for that “first-day-of- school-with-no-kids-at-home” morning.

Praising…

Remembering…

Enjoying…

and Waiting.  It was a great place to start.  It was time to be with my Lord.

Praising God for all He is – who He is – because He IS.

Remembering all that He has done for me – will do for me – and IS doing for me.

Enjoying the sweet fellowship of spending time in His Word and conversing with Him.

and Waiting.

Waiting with expectation for the satisfaction that comes with trusting the LORD to fill me, and sustain me.  Waiting for the refreshment that wipes away the heaviness that bogs me down and adds years to my stature.

A time for everything – just as King Solomon said….It all came just as the Psalmist David wrote.  The LORD satisfies and renews.  After my meditation on Psalm 103: 1 – 5  I felt alive and invigorated and lightened and filled.  You too can have your youth renewed like the eagle’s (v. 5b).  Please read Psalm 103 today and pray your way through it!

There IS a time for everything.

Especially time to read God’s Word.

New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 103

Of David.

1 Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
    and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

’til we meet again – have a blessed day my friend!
